KEEPING WINGHAM TIDY!

What a fanastic turn out for this year's Wingham Community Clean Up on Saturday 5 April helping to make our beautiful village even tidier.

We all met up at The Dog at Wingham for tea and coffee and breakfast rolls supplied by Wilmshurst Bakery and set off around 9.30 to different parts of the village to collect rubbish from the verges, footpaths and park areas and returned by 11.30 for delicious soup and bread courtesy of The Dog.

The Parish Council would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came to help plus a huge thank you to Marc, Lauren and all the staff at The Dog at Wingham for their help and support of the event and to Richard at Wilmshurst Bakery for supplying the breakfast rolls.

The litter picking equipment was loaned by Dover District Council and they also arranged the pick up of the 30+ bags (& obligatory road cone) collected. The event was also registered with the Keep Britain Tidy Campaign - The Great British Spring Clean.
