ADISHAM ROAD (B2046) CLOSURE - OCTOBER 2026

Wingham Parish Council have received the following information from the KCC Streetworks East Team today:-

Works will be carried out from 26th October 2026, with estimated completion by 30th October 2026.

Works will be carried out from 1st June 2026, with estimated completion by 4th June 2026.

Works will be carried out from 14th April 2026, with estimated completion by 17th April 2026.

Works will be carried out from 18th February 2026, with estimated completion by 20th February 2026.

Southern Water - Temporary Road Closure - B2046 Adisham Road, Adisham - 16th February 2026 (Dover District)

Due to works planned to be undertaken by Southern Water, it will be necessary to close part of B2046 Adisham Road, Adisham, from 16th February 2026 with estimated completion by 20th February 2026.

B2046 Adisham Road, Adisham, will be closed approximately 200m from the junction of Crockshard Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any Southbound through traffic is via B2046 Adisham Road, A257 High Street, A257 Gobery Hill, A257 Roman Road, A257 Pedding Hill, A257 Ash Bypass, A256 Sandwich Bypass, A256 Sandwich Road, A256 Eastry Bypass, A256 Whitfield By-pass From C237 Venson Road To Entry A256 Roundabout, A256 Whitfield By-pass From C227 Kennel Hill To C237 Venson Road, A256 Whitfield Bypass, A256 Link Between Whitfield Interchange Roundabouts, A2 Dover Road Slip Westbound On, A2 Between Whitfield Roundabout And Junction With A256, A2 Dover Road, A2 Barham Slip Westbound Off, A260 Old Dover Road, A260 Box Iron Road, B2046 Box Iron Road and B2046 Adisham Road.

The alternative route for any Northbound through traffic is via B2046 Adisham Road, B2046 Box Iron Road, A2 Barham Slip Eastbound On, A2 Dover Road, A2 Between Whitfield Roundabout And Junction With A256, A2 Dover Road Slip Eastbound Off, A256 Whitfield Bypass, A256 Whitfield By-pass From C227 Kennel Hill To C237 Venson Road, A256 Whitfield By-pass From C237 Venson Road To Entry A256 Roundabout, A256 Eastry Bypass, A256 Sandwich Road, A256 Sandwich Bypass, A257 Ash Bypass, A257 Pedding Hill, A257 Roman Road, A257 Gobery Hill, A257 High Street and B2046 Adisham Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while allowing water works to be carried out, works are undertaken by Southern Water.
