Our Local Police Officer, PC Jon Bowler, has posted two local reports recently that you may be interested in:-
Anti-Social Behaviour in Ash :-
Good afternoon, I am aware of the recent increase in Anti Social Behaviour within Ash Village. This is disappointing to see and has coincided with the school half term break. Shortly after new year, we issued two local youths with notices regarding their behaviour. One a Community Protection Warning notice and the other an Anti Social Behaviour agreement (different due to ages of those involved). This certainly assisted in the short term as the situation improved, however as mentioned, issues started once again a little over a week ago.
I have been out on foot patrol within the village and visited private addresses and businesses within the village. This is something I will continue to do. I have spoken with parents of the youths believed to be involved in the recent ASB and we will now be escalating the process by issuing a Community Protection Notice (CPN) to one youth. A second youth is due to be interviewed this week in relation to matters within the village.
I will do my very best to ensure there is an increased police presence within Ash and encourage residents to report any future incidents of anti social behaviour to Kent Police. These reports, especially those with CCTV evidence, will assist us with identifying those involved and ensure a robust response. These can be reported via the Kent Police website or via 999 in an emergency. If you do not have access to the internet, please call 101.
Ash continues to be a very safe community to live in and one I am proud to police. I will do my very best to identify those who wish to cause issues to the community and Kent Police will take positive action where offences are identified.
I look forward to seeing many of you whilst out on patrol, and please feel free to stop me for a chat or to speak about any issues or concerns you may have. Can I also please encourage you to ask your neighbours and friends to sign up to My Community Voice as this is a brilliant tool for us to keep communities updated with policing issues.
