Lottery Fund Scam

A message from our PCSO: As Christmas approaches a lot of people wish they had some extra funds available but please be aware of a Lottery fraud which is doing the rounds. Please see the flyer below which outlines this fraud in more detail.
Lottery fraud occurs when criminals use fake messages and calls to convince a person that they have won a lottery or a prize draw. The victim is then informed that they will need to pay an advance “fee” in order to receive the winnings.
These callers sound very convincing but if you cannot remember entering such a competition then you probably didn't!
