OMNICRON TEXT SCAM: We have received reports that Kent residents are receiving scam texts claiming they have been in contact with someone with the Omnicron variant. The text message has a link to a fraudulent NHS website that asks for your personal and financial information.

If you suspect you have had your information stolen, report the incident to Action Fraud on 0300 123 2040.

If money has been taken from your bank account, contact your bank immediately.

SUSPICIOUS EMAILS AND TEXTS: Kent Police Economic Crime Unit have said if you receive a suspicious email, then forward it to report@phishing.gov.uk. Forwarding emails to them has resulted in 135,000 scam websites being removed.

Also, if you get a suspicious text then forward those to 7726.
