Sea Link - National Grid proposal to provide a subsea connection between Suffolk and Kent

National Grid are carrying out their first public consultation (24 October to 18 December) on this new project which would carry more renewable and low carbon power from offshore wind, interconnectors and nuclear power.

The proposals include building a new 2GW high voltage direct current underground and offshore electricity link between Suffolk and Kent, plus the associated infrastructure needed to support this.
