Southern Water - Temporary Road Closure - Preston Road, Stourmouth - 9th October 2023

Due to works planned to be undertaken by Southern Water, It will be necessary to close part of Preston Road, Stourmouth, from 9th October 2023 with estimated completion by 13th October 2023.

Preston Road, Stourmouth, will be closed between the junctions of Stourmouth Road and The Street. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Stourmouth Road, The Street, Preston Lane, Preston Road, Preston Hill, A257 Gobery Hill, A257 Roman Road, A257 Pedding Hill, A257 Ash Bypass,  A256 Sandwich Bypass, A256 Ramsgate Road, A256 Richborough Road, A299 Hengist Way, A299 Canterbury Road, Gore Street, Plucks Gutter, The Street and vice versa. 

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while allowing water works to be carried out, works are undertaken by Southern Water.
