St Mary's open for prayer from Sunday 28 March 2021

This is a message from the St Mary's Churchwarden, Steve Sheath, for your information:-

In view of the increase in numbers of people having received part or complete vaccination against Covid-19, and the reduced transmission of infection locally, it has been agreed that the church should be opened for Private Prayer every Sunday between 10.00 am and 12 noon. Social distancing and face coverings will be required at all times. 

This will start this Sunday, Palm Sunday, when those wishing to do so will also be able to collect a Palm Cross to mark the beginning of Holy Week. 

In addition, the church will be open on Good Friday, 2 April, from 2.00 pm for the Last Hour on the Cross, when there will be music, reflection and prayer. 

We will make further announcements about future church services once the impact of the easing of lockdown has been assessed.
