WC returns to the Recreation Ground

At their Annual meeting on Monday 11 May Councillors agreed to reinstate the portable WC for the summer months at the Recreation Ground.

The WC is for users of the Recreation Ground when the pavilion is not open as there are no other public facilities at that end of the village.

The WC was removed in February 2026 following a second act of vandalism in just nine months, but councillors agreed to reinstate it on a trial basis for the summer.

Hopefully all will be well but should further acts of vandalism occur then it will be removed.
