Wingham Parish Council has legal powers to issue grants to village organisations. The purpose of such grants is to support initiatives in the local community which will benefit all residents of the parish. A limited amount will be set aside in the Council’s budget each year for this purpose.
All applicants must read the
Community Grant Awarding Policy and submit the appropriate
application form by November each year.
The Parish Council also has the legal power to award
small capital grants to non-profit making voluntary village organisations and applications must be made in writing using the appropriate small capital grant
application form.

ST MARY'S PAROCHIAL CHURCH COUNCIL: A community grant of £2128.50 towards the annual ground maintenance of the Burial Ground and privet hedge maintenance; A small capital grant of £168.93 towards the purchase of traditional wooden games for younger members of the community.
WINGHAM PRE-SCHOOL: A community grant of £1000 towards the cost of new equipment and additional staff to assist with extended afternoon sessions to include under 3s; A small capital grant of £200 towards the purchase of Kindle fires for staff.
8th DEAL (WINGHAM) SCOUT GROUP: A community grant of £588.47 to increase security at the hut, supply broadband and purchase cooking kit; A small capital grant of £160 towards the cost of a large 85L cool box for camping.
WINGHAM COMMUNITY NEWS: A community grant of £300 towards the cost of printing the newsletter.
WINGHAM RECREATION GROUND MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE: A community grant of £1400 towards the cost of grounds and boundary upkeep
WINGHAM FOOTBALL CLUB: A small capital grant of £186 towards the cost of line marking paint for the electric line making machine for the football pitch.
